Professor Lesley McAra asked in her opening address “What does it mean to be a 21st century civic university?”. A copy of the slides used during the presentation can be viewed below: Lesley McAra slides from June HYM 2022 (4.69 MB PowerPoint) The morning and afternoon sessions featured excellent presentations from a panel of speakers and focused on Data Driven Innovation supported through the City Region Deal, and how the University’s social investments are making a difference. General Council members and their guests enjoyed a finger buffet lunch and had the opportunity to engage with an exhibition of community-based projects (ranging from joint enterprise projects for social benefit to healthcare for the homeless and their pets) and to meet those involved.
