General Council Prince Philip Fund

In honour of HRH The Prince Philip who gave long years of service as our Chairman.

The General Council shares with the University a strong belief in the transformative impact of higher education, and a commitment to ensuring talented students are not denied this opportunity through financial disadvantage.  The General Council Prince Philip Fund, established by the generosity of our members, is the Council's flagship contribution to this important work.

Via the fund, members support Scholarships for students from across the UK who have gained entry to the University in spite of very significant economic and social hurdles.  We are proud to invest alongside the University in their current and future success.  We encourage both single and ongoing contributions to the General Council Prince Philip Fund, knowing that in doing so our community is playing a role in a social mobility initiative of truly national consequence.

We thank all those who have supported the fund to date and invite those wishing now to make a donation to please click on the link below which will take you to our secure online giving page: https://donate.ed.ac.uk/support/princephilipgeneralc
