Finance and Services Standing Committee - Reports

The FSSC held its first meeting of the session on 23 October, featuring a key presentation and discussion with Damien Toner, Director of Estates.  The meeting focused on the strategic management of the University's physical infrastructure in the light of ongoing financial constraints, with Mr Toner providing an update on current initiatives, including the drafting of a new Estates Strategy. The discussion underlined the University's commitment to ensuring the alignment of physical assets with the University’s mission while maintaining focus on the sustainability and core maintenance of the existing estate.

The FSSC also reviewed the General Council's operational budget, and agreed to maintain support for the Prince Philip Scholarship Fund by continuing the appointment of one new scholar annually.
