Finance and Services Standing Committee - Reports

Report from the Finance and Services Standing Committee meeting of 4 March 2025.

The Finance and Services Standing Committee met on 4 March 2024 with the Interim Director of Finance, Mr Nirmal Borkhataria, to discuss (1) the University’s Annual Report and Accounts to July 2024, and (2) the University’s financial position more generally. 

The discussion covered a range of issues, including in particular the University’s historic financial performance, the difference between its EBITDA and operating surplus position, the projected EBITDA figures for future years, the planned reduction in operating costs, and the challenges faced by the UK universities sector. 

The Committee’s next meeting will be with Mr Gavin McLachlan, Vice-Principal and Chief Information Officer & Librarian to the University (in May 2025).
