Concert Room in St Cecilia's Hall

Members of the General Council and their guests are invited to attend an interesting discussion on university life past and present in the unique and historic setting of St Cecilia's Hall.

The Committee met with Vice-Principal Philanthropy and Executive Director of Development and Alumni, Chris Cox, and Professor Christina Boswell, Vice-Principal Research and Enterprise to hear presentations concerning the University’s relationships with its international alumni and to discuss some of the current activity taking place globally; and how implementation of the Research and Innovation strategy can support the University to achieve its objectives and enhance its international reputation.

The Committee spoke to Vice-Principal and Chief Information Officer, and Librarian to the University Mr Gavin McLachlan, about the University's digital infrastructure.

The Committee invited Professor Colm Harmon, Vice-Principal Students to update on the Curriculum Transformation Programme.

The Committee met with Vice-Principal Philanthropy and Executive Director of Development and Alumni (D & A) Chris Cox, to talk about ways in which PASC can work to align General Council activities with those of D & A and support mutual goals effectively.
