Resources from the Statutory Meeting of 16th February 2019 The General Council Half-Yearly Meeting took place in the School of Law, Old College, South Bridge, Edinburgh, where the Principal presented the Annual Report from the University. There was an opportunity for General Council members to tour the newly refurbished building before the meeting. The formal proceedings were livestreamed and members of the University of Edinburgh's alumni clubs were invited to join the event online. The meeting was followed by a Reception and Lunch in the Playfair Library Hall where the after-lunch speaker was Professor John W Cairns, Professor of Civil Law at the University of edinburgh who gave a fascinating account of the history of the Old College Quad.
