College of Science and Engineering showcasing event on 24 June 2026

Members of the General Council are cordially invited to the Kings Building campus on the evening of Wednesday 24 June 2026 to hear Vice Principal, Professor Iain Gordon and colleagues showcase some of the fascinating, cutting-edge work taking place in the College of Science and Engineering and to visit the just-opened, impressive Engineering Hub building.

The event will begin at 6pm in the Nucleus Building with short presentations about:

  • Engineering & Energy;
  • Astronomy;
  • Circular economy;
  • Maths software behind everyday things

These will be followed by a buffet supper and visit to the Engineering Hub: Engineering Forum: Project Completion | Estates | Estates

Professor Iain Gordon

The presentations will be suitable for a lay audience and do not require a science or engineering background.

Light refreshments will be available from 5.30pm.
